I’ve been dragging Joe around to these “girl” exercise things like yoga, Pure Barre, and air fitness. Men should prefer going to classes full if girls, not boys, right?
This is our post class photo. For a girls class, Joe sure is sweating a lot. Most people don’t think much of barre. It’s small isometric movements. Small as in if you’re moving more than an inch, you’re probably moving too much. A few times a year, the men are invited to a couples class. This is always such an entertaining site to see all of these men in relatively decent shape moaning and struggling over the Barre.
The men clean out the five pound weights which are the heaviest. I always get the two pound weights because they’re the lightest. By the time we finish our warm up, my arms are worn out! It’s hard to imagine that a 50 minute class that appears to have very little cardio and super tiny movements can be so effective. If you want to tone up fast, go take three Barre classes a week and I guarantee it will work! Pure Barre now has different classes with more cardio and such but I’ve found the regular ol’ barre class is enough to whip your body into shape if you go consistently for a month.
This is random. I get a flu shot at CVS Minute Clinic and I have a terrible bruise. This is the first time this has happened. This photo is a week after the shot. Crazy!
